Sporting Pedigree

Tim’s main interest other than music is his sport. At an early age he made the National Times for his age group in swimming winning a Multi-Nations Bronze medal (latterly he has competed for the Royal Marines in Water Polo and Swimming and Biathlon). He is also a very keen runner gaining International vests in Track and Field and Road running, at present holding 8 England medals and 2 Welsh medals. He competed regularly for The Royal Marines, Royal Navy and Combined Services on the track, cross-country and road at home and abroad. Since 1991 Tim has gained 37 gold, 7 silver and 2 bronze medals in Royal Navy and British Combined Services competition.

On leaving the services, Tim thought just keeping a healthy body and healthy mind would be good, however this proved difficult. In 2016 after being encouraged by friends, Tim found himself competing again, but this time in triathlon.

Qualifying for the European Sprint Distance Triathlon Championships in Dusseldorf  in 2017 Tim pulled on a Great Britain Triathlon suit and managed to achieve a bronze medal.

The 2018 season was again reasonably successful, Tim won a bronze at The English Sprint championships and then competing for Great Britain at The European Sprint Distance Championships in Glasgow in August achieving another bronze medal performance. Further more, Tim qualified to compete at the World Sprint and Standard Distance Triathlon Championships on the Gold Coast, in Australia in September.

Looking forward Tim hopes for a good 2019 season, having already qualified to compete at The Europeans Championships in Kazan, and also The World Championships in Lausanne.
